Our Vision and Aim

The Youth Ministry at First Presbyterian Church is characterized by an environment that encourages and enables students to cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ exemplified by spiritual curiosity, love for the Bible, sharing Christ with others, and discipleship that equips them for life after youth ministry. This is a part of our larger church vision to “Gather, Grow and Go in Jesus name”.

What to expect when you come to our A.L.I.V.E. Youth Ministry

  • A welcoming and friendly environment.
  • Solid biblical teaching.
  • An environment of worship.
  • Room to have a say in the group.
  • A fun atmosphere of sharing and growth.
  • A place to build relationships with peers.
  • A really awesome time!

What does A.L.I.V.E. mean?
A.L.I.V.E. stands for "Always Living In View of Eternity." Everything we do will have a Kingdom perspective. Our events, worship, fellowship time and even our games will have a depth to where what we do matters in the grand scheme.  Our goal is not only to reach people for Christ, but to equip our students to be prepared “to give the reason for the hope that you have” (1 Peter 3:15).  We have to start by understanding what really matters in view of the Kingdom of God.

When do you meet?
On Sunday mornings we meet at 10:30 am and break into separate groups (Middle School and High School). We spend time in the word.

Our Junior High (7th-8th grade), called CHAOS (Christ Has All Our Solutions) meets on Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00 pm. We have great fellowship, worship, Bible study, and fun playing games.

Our High School (9th-12th grade), called ELEVATE meets Wednesdays from 6:30-8:30 pm. We worship, study the word and fellowship with each other either by playing games, talking with each other, or the occasional frozen yogurt run.
